Abhisamayālaṅkāra Sanskrit name: Abhisamayālaṅkāra-śāstra, composed by Maitreyanātha. Its full title is Abhisamayālaṅkāra-nāma-prajñāpāramitopadeśa-śāstra (Ornament for Clear Realization: A Teaching on the Perfection of Wisdom). Also known as the Verses on the Ornament for Clear Realization of the Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra. It is a representative work of the Mahāyāna Maitreya school, summarizing the essential points of the 25,000-verse Prajñāpāramitā (equivalent to the Chinese translation of the Large Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra). The main content describes the three kinds of knowledge and eight subjects with seventy topics, explaining the process from an ordinary being's systematic practice to the attainment of Buddhahood. Written in Sanskrit, it consists of eight chapters with 272 verses. The eight chapters are: 1. Chapter on the Nature of All-Aspect Knowledge: Explains the Buddha's omniscient wisdom through the stages of generating bodhicitta, receiving instruction, determining the supports, basis of practice, objects of focus, aspirations, activities, accumulations, and accomplishment. 2. Chapter on the Nature of Path Knowledge: Explains the basis of path knowledge, the differences between the states of the two vehicles (śrāvaka and pratyekabuddha), bodhisattvas and Buddhas, the paths of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, and the bodhisattvas' paths of seeing and meditation. 3. Chapter on the Nature of All-Knowledge: Demonstrates the conceptualization of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, the proximity and distance of the Mother of Buddhas (Prajñāpāramitā), the objects to be abandoned and their antidotes, the bodhisattva's preliminary practices, and the path of seeing to be observed. 4. Chapter on Complete Understanding of All Aspects: Explains the arising of virtuous roots that accord with liberation, the characteristics of supreme preliminary practices, the process of the four aids to penetration, showing how to comprehend all aspects and paths. 5. Chapter on Summit Clear Realization: Describes the characteristics, progress, and certainty of the four roots of virtue, mental stability, conceptual and non-conceptual understanding, objects to be abandoned and their antidotes, and uninterrupted samādhi. 6. Chapter on Gradual Clear Realization: Explains the gradual realization of thirteen natures including the six perfections, six recollections, and the realization of the naturelessness of all phenomena. 7. Chapter on Instantaneous Clear Realization: Demonstrates the dharmas realized in a single moment through four distinctive characteristics of the non-difference of all phenomena from the uncontaminated. 8. Chapter on Dharmakāya: Distinguishes between the dharmakāya, svabhāvikakāya, sambhogakāya, and nirmāṇakāya. Among these eight chapters, the first three enable comprehensive knowledge of all aspects, the next four explain the preliminary practices for mastering this knowledge, and the final chapter explains how these practices lead to Buddhahood. The title "Abhisamaya" means clear realization, referring to the process of attaining enlightenment, synonymous with "path" (mārga). Regarding the origin of this treatise, according to Haribhadra's commentary on the 8,000-verse Prajñāpāramitā, since the Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra contains many repetitions and its profound meaning is difficult to discern, Maitreya composed this treatise to help Asaṅga understand the sūtra. The text's Sanskrit title states it was "composed by Noble Maitreya," hence it is attributed to Maitreya. This treatise has been translated and annotated by Master Fazun. This text has been highly regarded in both India and Tibet since ancient times. There are many commentaries based on it explaining the 25,000-verse and 8,000-verse Prajñāpāramitā, with twenty-one versions collected in the Tibetan Tengyur canon. 現觀莊嚴論 [[佛光大辭典]](https://etext.fgs.org.tw/Sutra_02.aspx) 梵名 Abhisamayālajkāra-śāstra。印度彌勒菩薩(梵 Maitreyanātha)造。全稱現觀莊嚴般若波羅蜜多優波提舍論(梵 Abhisamayālajkāra-nāma-prajñāpāramitopadeśa-śāstra)。又稱般若經論現觀莊嚴頌。為大乘彌勒學之代表作。係略攝梵文二萬五千頌般若(相當於漢譯大品般若經等)之綱要。主要內容為敘述三智及八事七十義,即言自一凡夫循序修持以達到成佛境地之過程。以梵文記載,共八品二七二頌。  其中八品為:(一)一切相智性品,係依發心、教授、決擇支、行依持、所緣、所期、所作、資糧、成辨等,證入佛果之次第,而說明佛之一切相智性。(二)道智性品,即闡明道智之所依、二乘菩薩及佛境界之差別、聲聞緣覺之道、菩薩之見道修道等。(三)一切智性品,即示聲聞獨覺之取相、佛母之遠近、有所得及無所得之所對治能對治、菩薩加行、所觀之見道等。(四)一切相現等覺品,係闡述順解脫分之善根生起、勝加行諸行相、順決擇分之過程等,示攝一切之相與道,修第三的一切智性之一切相現等覺。(五)頂現觀品,說四善根自性之表相、增進、確實,及心安住、能、所執之二種分別、所對治能對治、無間三摩地等,以示由勝進道殊勝邊際所證之頂現觀。(六)次第現觀品,係明六波羅蜜多、六隨念,及一切法無性自性覺等十三品性之次第現觀並其因。(七)一剎那現觀品,示說由一切法非異無漏之一剎那相等之四差別相,一剎那現起所證之法。(八)法身品,係分別法身、自性身、受用身及化身。八品中,於初三品令遍知一切智性,次四品為令於一切智性得自在而說加行,終品闡說由加行可達到佛果。標題「現觀」,即分明覺悟之義,意謂證得覺悟之過程,與「道」(梵 mārga)為同義語。  有關此論撰作之由來,據師子賢(梵 Haribhadra)八千頌般若釋論載,般若波羅蜜多經重說之處頗多,或雖無重說,但意義甚深難辨,無著因苦於了解經義,故彌勒菩薩為無著解釋般若經而造此論。本論之內題有「聖彌勒尊造」之語,遂被認作彌勒所作。此論今由法尊法師譯出並注解。但此論在印度及西藏古來就被重視,依據此論而注釋二萬五千頌般若及八千頌般若之著作甚多,西藏大藏經丹珠爾中收有二十一種。〔印度哲學研究第一、荻原雲來文集、東北帝國大學西藏大藏經總目錄、C.
